Q: What are soy beans?
A: The soy bean comes from a leguminous plant (Glycine max) that grows pods with clusters of two to three beans. The color of the bean varies from shades of brown to green and the shape can be oval or round. People began cultivating soy beans in Northern China three centuries ago. Today soy beans are used in many food products, including soy milk, soy cheese, soy yogurt and tofu.

A: Our products are made from high quality, 100% food grade, Non-GMO soybeans. Because the Philippines produce limited quantities of organic food grade soybeans, we import our soy from U.S.
Q: What is Soymilk?
A: Soymilk is made from ground soybeans that are mixed with water to form a milk-like liquid. Soy milk can be consumed by people who are dairy sensitive or by strict vegetarians who eat no animal proteins. Soymilk is an excellent source of protein, B-vitamins and iron, and if fortified, provides adequate calcium. It has low levels of saturated fat and no cholesterol. It also has a significant amount of Phytochemicals.
Q: What kind of protein is found in soy milk?
A: Protein from soy beans is a complete source of protein, meaning it contains all the essential amino acids.
Amino acids are the building blocks of protein. Twenty amino acids are needed to build the various proteins used by the human body and all 20 are necessary for health. The body itself can make 11 of these amino acids, while the other nine must come from the diet.
Q: Why do I need protein?
A: Protein is an important nutrient needed by everyone of a daily basis. It is made up of essential and non-essential amino acids, which are the "building blocks" for healthy bodies. Protein has a number of different roles in the body including the following:

Q: How are essential and non-essential amino acids different?
A: The body is able to make non-essential amino acids from other amino acids in the body. However, the body is not able to make essential amino acids and the only way to get them is by eating high quality protein foods. Protein sources that contain all of the essential amino acids are called complete proteins. Whey protein is a naturally complete protein.
Q: How much protein does a person need each day?
A: Protein needs vary by person depending upon age, weight, sex, activity level and overall health. Athletes and individuals with special medical needs often need more protein than the recommended energy and nutrient intake, or RENI.
Q: Does Soymilk and soy products contain large uric percentage?
A: The outer covering of soybean, called hulls, contains large amount of Uric Acid. Unlike other companies, Charmy Food Philippines Inc. implements a specific manufacturing process to ensure that uric content are significantly lessened by removing the Hulls during the initial stages of production.
Q: Is soy protein an allergen?
A: Soy protein is one of the eight major food allergens, along with protein in milk, eggs, peanuts, fish, shellfish, and wheat. Although an individual could be allergic to any food, such as fruits, vegetables, and meats.
Q: How much soy protein do I need to consume daily for heart healthy benefits?
A: The FDA says that diets low in saturated fat and cholesterol that include 25 grams of soy protein per day may reduce the risk of heart disease.
